This cool vintage Bakelite bracelet was originally made from translucent ruby red colored Bakelite. Over the years since it was made the patina has darkened to its current black color, In normal outdoor and indoor light the bracelet looks black, but its original color was red. Check out photos #5 & 7 to see the lovely original translucent red color!
The bracelet is 3/8" wide with a domed shape and has a 2.5" interior diameter that weighs 17 grams.
This Bakelite bracelet is in excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks were noted. There is a tiny flea bite to the inside of the bracelet that is the size of a pinhead. The bracelet's authenticity as Bakelite was confirmed using Simichrome polish. (See photo #10)
