This lovely vintage Bakelite brooch dates to the 1940's and is a translucent gold color with rust marbling. It measures 3" x 1" and has an elliptical shape. The brooch is about 3/8" thick at its thickest point and weighs 13 grams.
The brooch has been deocrated with deep diagonal slash carvings on its front.
The brooch has its original "C" clasp. The clasp works like new and stays closed when the brooch is being worn.
The brooch tests positive for Bakelite using Simichrome polish. (See photo #7) No chips or cracks were seen.
