This unique vintage Bakelite stretch bracelet has an asymmetrical shape that measures 1 1/4" wide in the front and tapes down to 1/2" in the back. The bracelet is a solid Kelly green color.
This stretch bracelet has only two pieces; a front and a back. The front has been decorated with a large flower inspired carving. The flower is flanked by cool cross-hatch designs and and abstract designs have been carved into the top and bottom edges of the bracelet.
The unique thing about this stretch bracelet is its construction, The front and back of the bracelet are attached with four elastic cords that are securely anchored as shown in photos 5.6. and 7.
The internal measurements of the bracelet at rest are 2 1/2" from side to side and 2 1/4" from top to bottom. However the bracelet does expand about 1/2" when the elastic cords are stretched to capacity. The bracelet weighs 54 grams.
NOTE: This vintage Bakelite bracelet is in excellent vintage condition and it's authenticity as Bakelite was confirmed using Simichrome polish. (See photo #10) No chips or cracks were noted and the elasticity of the cords is like new.
