This vintage Bakelite brooch has an oval shape and is a beautiful Kelly green color with cream colored marbling. It has been decorated with a large single flower carving covering the front of the brooch. Small carved leaves can be seen peeking out between the petals of the flower. A really lovely vintage Bakelite brooch!
The brooch measures 2 7/8" x 2 1/4" and is about 1/4" thick that weighs 30 grams.
The brooch tests positive for Bakelite using Simichrome polish. (See photo #9) No chips or cracks were seen. The brooch has its original rollover "c" clasp that is in excellent working order and stays closed when worn.
