This vintage semi translucent midnight green Bakelite bracelet is 5/8" wide, weighs 28 grams and has the normal inside diameter of 2.5".
After looking at the bracelet using a bright flashlight, it looks to me that the bracelet was originally a clear emerald green color. (See photo #5 ) Over the years its patina has darkened to its current midnight green color. However, under normal indoor and outdoor light, the bracelet looks black.
The bracelet has been decorated with abstract flower inspired carvings that circle the outside of the bracelet..
This vintage Bakelite bracelet is in excellent condition and its authenticity was confirmed using Simichrome polish. (See photo #10) No chips or cracks were noted.
