Offered for sale is this super rare vintage Bakelite brooch. The brooch features a brick red carved deer ("Bambi") that has been attached to a flat rectangular piece of lucite. The brooch measures 3" x 2" and weighs 25 grams.
The brooch is in excellent vintage condition and "Bambi" tests positive for Bakelite using Simichrome polish. (See photo #8) No chips or cracks were seen. The brooch has its original "C" clasp that is in great working order and stays closed when worn.
The deer figure has been attached to the lucite base by the use of pins. No adheasive was used to create this unusual piece. The original pins still hold Bambi securely in place.
