This cool vintage Bakelite bracelet was originally made from translucent green or perhaps blue colored Bakelite. Over the years since it was made the patina has darkened to its current midnight green color.
In normal outdoor and indoor light the bracelet looks black, but its original color was blue/green, although when a flashlight is used, it looks more blue than green. (See photo #5) The bracelet has been decorated with five, what I believe to be, Southwestern inspired designs.
The bracelet is 1" wide with a domed shape. The bracelet has a 2.5" interior diameter and weighs 31 grams.
This Bakelite bracelet is in excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks were noted. The bracelet's authenticity as Bakelite was confirmed using Simichrome polish. (See photo #10)
